Default Mahler Paper

The syllabus says we are not responsible for the formulae in the appendices but a section of the paper draws upon these. Can this section be skipped?( I hope the answer is yes)

Thanks

the material in the section not covered is not testable. you may need to understand how it is used, but can't be expected to know the derivation or proof or whatever is tucked in the appendix.

Lately all they've been asking is about the big 3 testing methods; anything else and I don't think many students will get any points.
