Are you implying Robert Montgomery Knight and this kid are in a secret relationship? Bullshoot!

On a serious note, ESPN is in danger of losing my business. The more you watch these shows, the more you realize what crap they produce. Stick to highlights of dunks, TDs, and homers and quit inventing stories and talking about TO all the time.

Now if Bob Knight gave TO a slap in the chin, or better yet, a slap across the face, THAT would be a story! I think that ESPN would pre-empt all programming for a week.

Yeah, I would have expected ESPN to be better than sensationalize this. But I guess if society had deemed it "awful" over the course of the day, and through talk-radio, you can't be the network that glossed over it as nothing and then experience the backlash. Still, it was clearly overblown.

OMG...Mike & Mike are still talking about this!!! They brought it up with Tom Izzo (Mich St coach)...at some point Golic said something about finally putting this to bed...then the first thing Greenburg asks Joe Namath, a retired NFL player, is about the Knight issue!!!! OMG, I can't take it!!!

I never turn on M&M in the morning...I'd rather watch sportscenter for a 2nd or 3rd time

On ESPN last night Digger Phelps said this thing is being blown out of proportion. I found myself screaming at the TV "BY YOU GUYS"!

I listen to it on the 'net at work...beats thinking abot work.

But...OMG! Now they're asking Bill Curry about it!
Is nothing else going on in sports!!!!
Isn't there a big college football game on Saturday?
The NFL season's not over yet, is it?
Can't we debate the sense in the Sox paying $50 million just to negotiate with a Japanese pitcher?
Didn't the NBA or the NHL have a couple of games last night?
I think there was a Poker game on somewhere...let's break that down!!!

Wow...Greenburg just said "Let those be the final words we say on the topic"....we'll see....

well, they do get that money back if they don't sign him, but it was mostly to keep him out of pinstripes (I would think) and can be offset by potential merchandise sales in Japan

I heard that any money made off of merchandise is split between all major league teams.

Greeney's main point today was that since a lot of listeners were emailing them all day yesterday, that justifies the time spent on it. Umm, Greeney, weren't most of them saying 'PLEASE TALK ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE!!'.

When he said that it was unanimous among basketball experts, except for Doug Gottlieb, that it was a complete non-issue, I almost fell out of my chair laughing. I wish I'd heard what he had to say about it...that guy is a tool.
