Default Study Manuals for CSP Group & Health

Anyone have experience using the GRASP or MATE books? I've heard the author of the Actex book is pretty good, but the description for GRASP seems interesting. Thanks for your feedback!

I used GRASP for 8M. I was able to look at past versions of GRASP and MATE from a co-worker, and MATE just looked a lot more dry to me. Honestly, I never looked at Actex - I heard poor things about them for the upper level exams, so I never bothered.

Whatever you get though, you should get the GRASP set of practice problems (if they decide to make one for CSP). One of the questions on the 8M exam this sitting was in the practice problems.

The GRASP author has stated on this forum that she would be doing a CSP manual. A co-worker and I plan to get several of these manuals anyway so that we can make sure we know as much as possible.

Btw, how the hell have you been JJ? Long time!!

I was thinking of getting Grasp as well.

But isn't this a different exam than what Grasp used to cover?

Well, once you get your ASA they actually put you to work, damn it! It is been busy even more so after not working for a few weeks to take 8. Other than that I'm good. Keeping my hopes I don't have to take another exam, ever!

It seems you are plugging along pretty good. Soon you will get your ASA and you'll be in my shoes. So long my friend!

This is a different exam, but it does have some overlap with 8G/M.

Yeah, seems like only yesterday that Course 3 was keeping me down. Now that exam is so far in the rearview mirror. I see co-workers doing that stuff and it makes me oh so thankful that it is in the past forever.
I hope to take my last exam in 2007 as I will be hitting CSP and DP pretty hard this year.
