Default Grade my Trade

14 team league.

Scoring System:
1 point per 10 yards receiving/rushing
1 point per 30 yards passing
6 points per TD throwing/rushing/receiving
0.5 per reception
2 points for 2 pt conversion passing/rushing/receiving
-2 for turnovers

Have to start 1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, and 1 Flex (WR or RB only). And you just lost Portis last week to the injured hand. So I pulled 2 trades off to (hopefully) get better.

Here's how my lineup would have looked going into this week, pre-trade...
QB - P. Manning
RB - R. Bush
RB - B. Jacobs
WR - P. Burress
TE - T. Heap
WR/WR/Flex - Choose b/w T. Taylor, M. Booker, K. Curtis, T. Brown, D. Mason

Here's my lineup post-trade...
QB - T. Romo
RB - R. Bush
RB - K. Jones
WR - T. Holt
TE - T. Heap
Flex - A. Green
WR/WR - Choose b/w T. Taylor, M. Booker, K. Curtis, T. Brown, S. Holmes

So basically, replace Manning with Romo, Plax with Holt, Jacobs with Jones, and have a for sure, every week flex player in Green. And now only have to fill 2 spots with 5 players to choose from, instead of 3 spots.

How would you grade this move by me?

Once Romo gets figured out, and he will, you'll wish you had the best QB in FF back.

I'm worried about that, for sure. But I picked up 2 #1 RB's and replace Plaxico with Holt. I'm hoping that more than offsets the difference. I just want Romo to not blow-up. But I am worried.

HTF did you pull that off?

You traded Manning and Plax for Romo, Holt, KJones, & Green? Yeah you basically robbed the guy blind.

The actual trades were Manning/Plax for Jones/Holt, and Jacobs/Mason for Green/Holmes. I had Romo on my bench and edcided I'd gamble with him and use Manning as my trade bait.

Both those trades are highway robbery. Good job!

I think you did pretty well. You had some huge holes and you filled them well. You weren't going to win the league with the old lineup. You may have a chance now if some things go right.

I assume this isn't a keeper league, because you just robbed him blind. But let's consider this otherwise. The biggest factor is when is the championship game. If it is Week 16, then Peyton goes on the road to Houston and I'm at home with Philly. I'll be honest and tell you that Peyton has a big advantage here. But I promise to shred the Lions the following week, while Peyton probably won't even play against a tough Miami pass defense. I'm also going to shred the weak Falcon pass defense in their dome on Week 14.

Tory Holt is the second best receiver. Plax isn't in the picture.

Kevin Jones will be much more consistent for you. Green just sweetens the pot.

So let me know about the playoff implications so I can give you an A+ or a B+.

What do you want to know? Playoffs start week 14, I'm in tie for second right now at 7-3, one game out (lost 2 in a row), playing the guy I'm tied with this week, a team one game back of me the next week, and the first place team in Week 13. Tough stretch at the end. Barring 3 losses, I'm a lock to be in the playoffs. Even with 3 losses, I could get in.
