Default CPCU 540 for the Finance Credit?

Does this option still exist?

Yep

You can't just take the test, though. You have to take the course and the test to receive credit.

Which is pretty bogus, in my opinion. If you can pass the test, what difference does it make if you took the class or not.

I am taking the class right now, and the bulk of it consists of answering practice test questions, so why not just make passing the test the requirement, and end it there?

How does one take the course?

So was the course any good? I'm enrolled in NEAS right now but I wonder if the CPCU class might be better (i.e. more relevant).

Do you think I can take the course after I pass the test?

I'm not sure if this is posted somewhere else, but could you give me more information about the course? I am trying to decide between NEAS and CPCU. Do you have homeworks each week? Are there quizzes/tests frequently? How much time do you spend? Is it easy? Thanks.

No more online class required for CPCU 540!

The AICPCU Business and Financial Analysis for Risk Management and Insurance Professionals course (CPCU 540) is approved for 2003-2008. Candidates must provide proof of receiving a passing score on the exam.

To anyone who has taken the CPCU exam, how was it?

I like the idea of just taking this exam rather than doing all of the NEAS stuff.
