Default co-op at Concordia

Anyone know about co-op program in Concordia?

I am considering transfer to Concordia since I realize job experience is essential when I look for entry job.

I thought about Waterloo and contacted program coordianator but seemed really tough to get in as a foreign student.

If anyone attends Concordia or knows something about, pls comment.

The program isn't really that good. They forward employer's job postings and that's about it. It just gives you an opportunity to work as an intern and keeping your full-time student status.

I have heard of other better programs. For example, I was told that the people at UDM actually tries hard to get you a job.

Although Northeastern University's actuarial science program isn't as strong as other schools, their co-op program is one of the best in the country. 99% of students receive co-op jobs at places such as Aviva USA, MetLife, Fidelity Investments, John Hancock...

I would suggest anyone pursuing a career as an actuary complete at least on co-op or internship somewhere. It's a great way to make sure this is something you really want to do, and it looks great on resumes.
