Losing 38-31 to USC hardly seems like a "letdown" prediction. A letdown is either losing a close game against a team you should manhandle, or getting killed against a team you should compete with. Anyway, I'm not sure why Michigan would be any more "let down" than USC. If you ask me, they'll probably be PO'd and want to show something. USC has more of a chance of suffering a letdown because they simply blew their chance, while Michigan may well perceive that they have had their chance taken away from them.
