For most purposes, theism is considered to be a religion.

Most theists are indeed religious, but theism is most certainly not a religion, nor have I seen anyone consider it to be one except for you.

So there should be no legal issues with a public school teacher teaching that a god or gods exist as long as the teacher makes no further claims about that god or gods?

Atheists may have an ulterior motive for trying to get religion out of the schools. But a Christian who claims to honor our Constitution probably has ulterior motives for not trying to get religion out of public schools. My point is, any fan of the Constitution, regardless of religion, should be against religion being taught by a government-run entity. Therefore your argument to the golf analogy is faulty. |
