Thanks for your wishes, Tigger. To Actuarialed: i think the “gatekeeper” exam evolves over time. For a number of years, it was the old 7 (what 6 is today), then I think with the explosion of interest in the field and the incentives for passi g that exam, it became harder to prevent people from passing. MAS I became the new gatekeeper for a bit although that seems to have subsided somewhat. Now it appears that 8 has become the new upper level gatekeeper based on the stats. I think they have to keep mixing things up so it’s not obvious. That’s why they occasionally add IQs and other curveballs.
