Not great. I’ve been reading over old exams today and the length of the answers is stressing me out. They don’t seem to be correlated to the number of points assigned to the question. Like some comments say “candidate only got full marks if they listed 4 points” and it’s confusing if a question is only worth 1 mark.

It’s my first ever FSA exam so I’m trying not to give myself a hard time. Still trying to figure out how to study for this type of exam. I feel like I’m depending a lot on my work experience instead of the actual readings. I also don’t have a good memory so I’m trying to understand everything instead of memorizing it, but that’s not gonna matter if a lot of the questions are straight recall.

I’m honestly just excited to go back to work on Friday. These last couple weeks have been no fun.

I think it’s because a lot of people didn’t interpret the question as being about KRDs. Everything is labelled as Effective Duration and the answer for part (i) gives both and effective duration version of the answer and a KRD version of the answer. So for the people that interpreted it as an effective duration question they wouldn’t have been able to do it since it’s not a parallel shift.
