Hi, I recently resat for FAP final assessment, this was the last seating for which exemptions apply. If FAP failed, should I switch to SOA route or continue on IFOA route.  I’ve cleared all my CS, CM, CB and CP2 and CP3.  Anyone in the same situation? Advice on how to move forward appreciated.

Did you pass or fail FAP?

For actuaries who want to learn more about FAP, these are fantastic dino game resources! The finished dashboard is an excellent illustration of what can be done with FAP, and the videos are clear and concise.

If you’re deciding between the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFOA) and the Society of Actuaries (SOA) after a failed Fundamentals of Actuarial Practice (FAP) exam, consider your career goals, preferred geographical job market, and the differences in examination styles and support resources between the two organizations. The IFOA is more relevant for roles in the UK and Europe, while the SOA is better suited for positions in the US and Canada. Evaluate which organization’s exam format and study resources align better with your strengths, and think about the professional network and opportunities each offers. Clues for contexto today suggest that choosing the path that best matches your career aspirations and personal study preferences will be key to your future success.
