Thoughts on this exam?
Hello fellow Exam 5 takers (current and past),
I searched Google and YouTube on CAS Exam 5 Strategies and came up empty. I am wondering what the best strategy is for exam day. For exams P, FM and IFM, I learned to go through the questions in order, solve the problems I knew I could complete in less than 5 minutes and mark the problems I knew I could complete but would take longer than 5 mins. Then, once I got through the first pass, I would go back and complete the marked ones and after that attempt all other remaining questions with whatever time I had left. If I got through all questions, I would then go back and review all that I had time for.
Exam 5 may not be as straightforward because as we all know, some questions are worth more than others. I am hoping that people who have already passed this exam can provide some tips on how they took on this beast of an exam. Any tips from current Exam 5 takers are appreciated as well!
Thanks,
Mathlete
I failed my first sitting of Exam 5 primarily due to lack of time. Spring 2021 will be my 2nd sitting. I just got off the phone with Pearson and the closest exam center they have for me is a 5 hour drive.
