ParticipantI imagine that not every grader would be in the loop.

ParticipantMy guess is that a potion of the committee members, and/or people usually involved in the final steps aren’t available right now. Because for companies with a December year end right now it’s valuation time, some people might not be getting enough sleep as is right now, let alone sitting for non valuation meetings.
I think committee meetings dealing with grades and all other matter are pushed to next week the earliest, or till Feb.
It’s only my guess.

ParticipantYour guess is very plausible. Not sure why no one finds it troubling that the CAS always makes their problems our problems. I’m thankful to all the volunteers for what they do but their work obligations shouldn’t be putting our credentials and career advancement at stake.

ParticipantI am not sure that is a fair take. They are grading on their free time. Whether you pass or fail doesn’t change if you find out two weeks later/earlier (unless they change the pass mark).
They have lives and are volunteering.
I definitely agree that the exams should have been scheduled for June not the beginning of May…

ParticipantYeah thats all I’m saying. My comment is strictly on the May exam window – not on the volunteers. Sorry if my last post came off that way.

ParticipantHaha, I would rather they offer another sitting for 7 and 9 in Oct, but wishful thinking I guess.

ParticipantWhen exam 5 was TBE years ago, the first test was 5/4, make up exam was 5/31, and results were 7/2. Two exams per person were graded in less than 5 weeks.
This sitting ended for 95% of people by 12/8? So we’re at 7.5 weeks now and 3 for the 12/31sters.

ParticipantMaybe a compromise can be to extend spring window. Yes they are volunteering, but here we are in a situation where thousands of candidates are penalized due to busy schedules of a few.

ParticipantExactly.

ParticipantYeah, it sucks not knowing what exam to study for.

ParticipantJust got some news from CAS. They are in the last part of the grading process. Results can be expected either next week or the week after.
I’m guessing either: end of next week or early following week.

ParticipantI’ll believe it when I see them publish an update.
January 22, 2021 at 4:22 pm #2615drichard34
ParticipantDante – how exactly did you receive this news?
January 22, 2021 at 4:27 pm #2616resact26
ParticipantStill grading. Sigh.
January 22, 2021 at 4:34 pm #2617drichard34
ParticipantRead page 31 here: https://www.casact.org/admissions/syllabus/2021Syllabus.pdf
“The last step of the grading process” does not mean they are still grading. It likely means a teleconference with the VP-admissions and a representative from the CIA to discuss all of the exams from the series and to finalize the passing scores.
Guessing we’re awaiting their availability.

ParticipantI spoke with a member of CAS. I had technological issues during my exam and got a response from CAS regarding the grievance form I submitted. And when asked about expected results date, I was told that.
