Legit, thanks for sharing! Also – sorry you had to deal with technological issues, hope it ends up not mattering for you
January 22, 2021 at 4:55 pm #2620Were you satisfied with their response to your grievance?
January 22, 2021 at 6:38 pm #2634January 22, 2021 at 6:44 pm #2635Yeh already posted that in the Results Release Date thread. There are maybe 4-5 messages there on this.
January 23, 2021 at 6:31 am #2676“We understand your frustration with what you experienced. We know that the issues you encountered must have been very stressful, and we regret that you had to deal with that on top of the general anxieties that candidates must manage on exam day. We have high expectations of Pearson VUE to provide our candidates with a consistent and positive exam experience, and we are working with them to avoid these issues in the future.
We believe that all CAS candidates should have an equitable opportunity to pass their exam. Exam committee leaders have been made aware of your experience, and in fairness to you, will take those issues into consideration.”January 23, 2021 at 6:44 am #2677What exactly they have done, I don’t know and probably will not know if I pass (because they wouldn’t release the score breakdown). If I fail, then I’d know what score I got on the question parts I wasn’t able to attempt because of the keyboard not working (the answers to which I knew by the way and submitted those in the grievance form right after the exam)
It’s too much stress to be honest to think about what’s going to happen come Monday. This is exam 6c I’m talking about. Hopefully I’ll hear some good news. I know it’s been really difficult for people to wait for the exam results. But just imagine what I must be going through since the day I wrote the exam. If I fail by fine margins because of those last 20-30mins I wasn’t able to type what I wanted to then I just don’t know what I’ll do with my life. I gave away the first 2.5 months of my new born in exchange for studying. I lost a job due to pandemic. Had to move countries. So after all that, if I fail because of something beyond my control and CAS takes it lightly but most importantly does nothing about it, then I don’t know what to do. What would you do if you were in my position? Yeah 2020 was a challenging year for me just like it was for a lot of us. I’m just praying that I pass and my pass or fail doesn’t come down to this. Either I pass or fail miserably. I guess I’ll find out on Monday! Pray for me will ya?
January 23, 2021 at 7:13 am #2678I passed. Wooohoo. Just checked my profile and saw my exam 6c result. Wow that was such a big relief!
January 23, 2021 at 2:25 pm #2689Congrats!
January 23, 2021 at 2:44 pm #2690Congrats Dante. I wish I knew about the grievance process before the exam. I encountered a number of technical roadblocks throughout the exams I sat for which cost me alot of time. I’m hoping that the CAS somehow takes that into account across the board even though I can’t reasonably expect they would.
