Can I just ask how you can keep going at this point? I respect your resilience as I am sure I would have quit 3-4 tries ago if it were me.
They definitely seemed on the high end across the board but I feel like that is only fair especially for exams that are usually offered 2x a year but candidates only had one opportunity due to COVID-19.
In terms of what CAS is going to do on a test by test basis, it is anybody’s guess. I wouldn’t waste too much energy trying to figure out how hard/easy they are going to grade based on prior results. I would however anticipate an increase in length to account for CBT this time around.
I took Exam 5 written 2x and was very short on time but with CBT I had lots of extra time.
Thanks residualagent! I just went on and was able to get a spot much closer to me. Still going to keep checking to hopefully get the closest option but this is a big improvement.
Seems to me the biggest mistake is to jam all the exams in to the same week. I understand why they don’t want a 3-4 week window for the same exam but how about splitting them up? Something like:
Exam 5 and 6 – 4/26 – 5/1
Exam 7 and 8 – 5/3 – 5/8
MAS Exams and Exam 9 – 5/10 – 5/15Finally found 1 opening in DC and I live in Philly. Pretty sweet.
COVID or not I don’t see how this is a sustainable process. I suppose the testing centers are operating at a lower capacity but if there are X number of openings and X + 100 candidates in a certain area what do they expect us all to do?
This is ridiculous. It gave me 30 testing centers as options and there is not 1 single time available for Exam 6.
