So much for the “results might be coming soon” fringe theory.
One question I don’t think I asked is, is it customary for them to put up a blank transcript? I don’t remember this happening either of the last two times I got results. If it did, it was definitely the day before results came out. I guess that takes us into unchartered territory.
The first Blooms sitting was 18% and 19% i think. 10% isn’t that much of a stretch. I kid.
I’m not sure that there’s any point in asking about (a). Some random CAS staff member is not going to be able to say anything that hasn’t formally been communicated. If I had to guess, they’re already getting alot of those calls hence why they said in their last statement, “we understand that candidates are eager to know their results…
While I don’t disagree with your sentiment on differentiation, that might work in my favor this time given I slayed the IQ (or felt like I did). Not getting my hopes up at all.
True. While act_123 might be onto something, I spoke to someone who said the consensus at his company for 9 (this is a very large company) is that it was long but everyone finished and feels they’re at least on the fence. I guess we may never know (especially if there’s no pass stats).
I will never forgive myself for not finishing 7. I ended up with 15 mins for the IQ in the end and scrambled to write something down but fell far short. I felt good with alot of the other stuff but that damn IQ is so highly leveraged. Grrr..getting mad just thinking of it.
I just read through the Exam 7 thread on goactuary.com. After seeing how supremely confident everyone is over there regarding 7 and 9, I’m now pretty sure I failed both. I had blank questions on both, everyone over there had time to check over their answers and all. Oh well – May it is I guess.
Wait till they just drop results at 2 today.
The CAS made an announcement today but unfortunately it wasn’t related to exams. On to the next day of waiting…
I wonder what the not parent/parent split is for fellowship candidates. My guess is roughly 80/20.
Yeh. I know someone who used to study in the office who decided not to sit for an exam for that reason. To your point, everyone’s individual circumstances are different. Hence the black box that is this sitting!
It definitely helped me in that regard. I was thinking of the people who had other obligations at home and those who were distracted by the whole thing, especially in the early days when the quarantine started, no one knew anything about the virus and they were trying to figure it out.
It’s interesting how everyone assumes that the extra time was used productively by everyone especially given COVID and the uncertainty of the earlier months.
Ok. I think I understand where you’re coming from. Better safe than sorry I guess. I like your chances though and keeping my fingers crossed for you. 50/50 is as good as you can ask for on a fellowship CAS exam.
Man you’re so pessimistic which surprises me given that you left nothing blank. You also spent almost an hour on the IQ. Hard to see why you’re expecting a 5. Sounds like you’re trying to create a coping mechanism for the worst case scenario.
