Results are up on the My Exams page. I passed!!
I’m hoping for today or tomorrow, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was pushed to next week tbh
Oh wow! I wonder if that’s why it changed – maybe they’re loading up the grade reports & will change it to pull info from Spring 2021 when results are released?
Sorry you didn’t pass, though, that sucks.
The My Exams section of the website is pulling in Fall 2020 acknowledgement letter info for me today instead of Spring 2021… I checked that page less than a week ago and it had my Spring 2021 acknowledgement letter. I wonder if that’s because grades for Spring 2021 are coming out soon?
Tbh I’m more concerned that we’re losing examiner’s reports at the same time that they’re going to be transitioning to new question formats. One of the main benefits of moving to CBT is the spreadsheet functionality & testing material in new ways w/ the technology… so either no one ever tells anyone about the new question formats bc that’s against the candidate code, or people who are already well connected hear through the grapevine what the new question formats are like and they have an unfair advantage.
Booked my appointment – May 6, in the morning. There were only 3 days in the window with open slots at all the Pearson VUE centers in my state… Hope there are still slots available by the time people log in and see their ATT email tomorrow morning. I can’t believe they sent them out after US business hours were over for all time zones.
Only Exam 8 will be offered in Fall 2021 so taking a Spring exam during the Spring 2021 sitting seems the most logical to me. 7 is required to sign opinions, so I’d start with that one. After that you have more freedom to decide if the additional 2 exams are worth taking (depending on your career goals, company, etc).
I remember that when the Exam 7 syllabus changed significantly a while back some people were skipping 7 until they had a better idea of how the new content would be tested, but given that the content hasn’t changed for a while and we’re not getting any more Examiner’s Reports, there’s not really a reason to do that anymore.
I’m interested in the CF/RF joint Exam 9 materials. The joint seminar was really helpful for 7, hopefully it’ll be helpful for 9 as well. I got the RF cookbook & CC manual for the Spring 2020 sitting (I decided not to sit for Fall 2020) but if the cost to upgrade to CF/RF is reasonable I might do that when it comes out in January.
Results for 2020 exams in first quarter, so candidates will have all of April to study for their exams!
I know a lot of exam programs won’t pay for you to sit for another exam until you pass the one you’re on. I wonder if we’ll see changes to that if candidates aren’t expected to get results until 1-2 months before the exams. I could see candidates who took Exam 5 this Fall wanting to take Exam 6 this Spring, then going back to Exam 5 if they failed it.
Although given that only Exam 8 is being given in Fall 2021, that’ll be trickier for those of us on upper level exams. If you only have Exams 8 and 9 left, and you took 9 this Fall, do you take 8 this Spring and wait a whole year to take 9 again on the chance you passed? Or do you study for 9 again and take the sitting off if you passed it? Or sign up for both, study for both, and cancel 9 if you passed? There’s not really a great approach imo.
