I have felt this way before and both passed and failed. While I spent close to an hour on the IQ I didn’t feel that good about it. And I can see not doing well on it as a likely possibility.
I don’t really think I did much to differentiate myself besides for finishing the test. There were a couple of questions I wrote stuff down but who knows if I will get any credit for it. I had enough time to do them though.
I had lots of cell references and def could have had mistakes there… Hence the other issue. I would not be surprised with my second five.
I spent about 40-45 minutes on IQ in beginning and about another 10 at the end. I did not feel good about it. I didn’t feel bad about it. If I fail it will be most likely because of it and a few other questions…
- I practiced in Pearson environment for a few weeks. I was aware of almost all the limitations. Instead of doing problems in Excel, I would just open the Pearson testing environment up and practice there. I finished exam 9 with 45 minutes left. For me the extra time didn’t help because well quite frankly the test was extremely hard. There were four or five questions that probably will make it or break it.
I emailed the CAS about all the issues in the environment and they didn’t tell people. They were aware of them. For example, typing an incorrect formula makes the cell revert back to what was in it previously. So if it was empty it remains empty. If it had a different value or formula it goes back to that one.
We will never know.
They never said they would release stats.
They in fact said they would not release examiner’s reports. So the question is whether they will release anything at all. They might, but we will have to see.
Anywhere from 28th to like February 10th seems possible…
That is possible. Btw from the my exam screen it will say pass and it will also show the additional exam if you passed it. It just won’t have the grade.
They used to access the database directly. That year people changed the URL to look at old exam passes and yes they had a predated grade. Remember in the past it said just pass or fail.
I believe they changed the system so it didn’t access the database. I don’t believe you will see the grades early because it was changed.
You may see grades come in ten or fifteen minutes before the email on release date. Hence all the F5ing.
No. Grade means Pass or Fail. Numeric is 0-10.
Anyone have two blank grade reports that both say exam 9? I also have two acknowledgement letters. This seems pretty weird.
But the second announcement said the first announcement implied it was end of Q1.
I heard there was an outside chance of end of January. Hence the ambiguous wording around February.
Amp – I definitely complain a lot. I personally with just exam 9, have studied well over a 1,000 hours for that exam. I have shared my thoughts that I think they do a poor job testing the material, rather than testing exam aptitude or IQ of candidates.
I think it is fair to point out the committee hasn’t passed these challenging exams. They keep asking more and more from candidates.
I think they release passing candidate list of names. But they might not release the amount of people who took the exam.
When FCAS said that ACAS shouldn’t have the right to vote because they haven’t proven themselves on the exams, it’s like hello you guys haven’t proven yourself on these exams too. The exams even three years back, let alone six years before bloom’s was introduced were significantly easier.
