Probably more exams to grade because 7-9 were offered.  Also, I think it is taking them longer to grade in Excel.  Lastly, they used to have a 2 day meeting to regrade all the close grades and reconcile scores on questions between graders.

I believe that is not occurring now. So that is taking place across a longer period of time.

The IQ questions in my opinion have to go.  I think they are a very poor differentiator.

They specifically mentioned they don’t intend to release that information.

They are. CAS is a very “transparent” organization.

I received mine.  It was not helpful.

I am not sure how they do that exactly, because questions on the test had multiple sections embedded in each other.

This is pretty much what I expected.

A couple weeks is not a couple of months…

On goactuary someone posted that they contacted the CAS and the CAS implied it would be a couple weeks at least.

I would imagine that since the test is being offered just a few months after the previous test that the style will be the same.

The CAS probably had two exams already ready since exams were pushed off for like a year.

I am not sure what you mean. Cummins cat paper has some memorization and some examples.  Cummins and Goldfarb have some specific type of math questions they test, but also have general capital allocation logic.

I am not really burnt out. Although with taking tests over 13 years now, could have done it.

Well I hope my commentary helped.

I have studied over a 1000 hours.  I am not a good test taker.  I think after passing exam 7 (I had already passed 8), the year in between got me out of practice.  Then waiting another 1.5 years to take it a second time didn’t bode well.

I am probably going to look up some calming techniques.  Because I know I am close, I am just not thinking clearly and figuring out one of the few hard trick problems on the test.

They also are trying to combine the topics in weird ways.  While I know all the details of the papers.  They aren’t really asking details but weird combinations instead.

People definitely pass with just TIA or CC.  CF didn’t exist beforehand.

If you are very good at puzzles and are naturally smart.  You will have an advantage on this exam.

It depends on a person. I have read all the source at some point and a bunch of manuals.  It hasn’t helped me.  I have gotten 2 5’s over the last 2.5 years (since it has only been offered twice).

The questions are very tricky and have lots of puzzles.
