I hear you regarding priority, but I think there are completely different grading teams for each exam. Just getting out what’s been finalized as soon as available is my understanding
Email only so far. I sat for 7 and 8, so at least I’ll know about one of them soon
Tomorrow for 5, 6u, and 8. Ahhh!
<p style=”text-align: left;”>Don’t get me wrong. I like the idea of releasing results early whenever possible. You may have already said this somewhere above, but by the same logic, wouldn’t you also want the 7+ passers to be notified as early as possible too? They wouldn’t have to give a score early, just “Fail” for the 0-4 people and “Pass” for the 7+ people.

I have been around so long that I have also received many fails. Mostly 5s, I think, but several 4s as well. Would be nice to know if I needed to repeat or could start on something new as early as possible, so I’d join your cause.
Interesting idea. The 0-4 fails get the bad news quicker, but even more pain inflicted on 5s.
January 14, 2021 at 11:38 pm in reply to: Syllabus of Basic Education – New Document on CAS Site #2143I agree. It is not clear at all what it is that the CAS will “verify” for $50.
Not me. Same status. Although I thought passing one last sitting was a long shot for me anyway.
Not good for my nervous system – seeing grade reports with blanks in the “Grade” column. I don’t think I’ve seen that before. Either the grade report hhad a number or there was nothing posted at all.
<p style=”text-align: left;”>Does anyone have inside info on timing for the 2021 Study Kits? The 2020 SKs are still popping up on the CAS website.

First of all, congrats on your ACAS! As someone mentioned, your personal career goals should be considered so advice really needs to be customized for each person. For me personally, I’m still trying to get to FCAS, so order of exams never mattered other than which ones were offered when. My first fellowship exam sitting was Fall 2018, so my only choice was to skip or take Exam 8. I took Exam 8 but didn’t pass. So, you have to consider also when they will be offered (again as the non-Robot mentioned above 🙂 ) 7 and 9 are not on the Fall 2021 Exam Schedule. Without knowing anything else about your situation, I’d also guess Exam 7 for Spring 2021 is your best bet.
Regarding which ones are harder: For me, I found Exam 7 material harder to digest than Exam 8, but it’s different for everybody depending upon how their brains are wired, their experience, etc. Take that with a grain of salt, though, because I haven’t passed any fellowship exams yet, although it took me a LOT more time to get through 7 material on the first pass vs 8 material. Also, I haven’t really studied Exam 9 material yet, so can’t comment on that. The weird thing I’ve found over the years with these exams is that difficulty ranking of the material itself doesn’t necessarily line up with difficulty ranking of passing a particular exam.
For source materials, I need to buy the book and sk. I assume the 2021 sk will be the same as 2020 since there doesn’t appear to be any changes to the syllabus (2021 vs 2020)? CAS website still links to 2020 sk
