Resact, do you think that the answer you got was a standard one from a secretary or someone who is actually up to date on the process?
Maybe a compromise can be to extend spring window. Yes they are volunteering, but here we are in a situation where thousands of candidates are penalized due to busy schedules of a few.
I think that pushing back exam would be fair, but at this point costly to manage all exams already booked. We could try. I would be inclined to appeal to CAS to be more transparent. I feel like communication is really breaking down and CAS just makes any changes without any explanations. It hurts the relationship with the candidates and does damage to CAS image. I would appeal the disclosure/discussion of questions too. How will study aids adapt to new syllbus and exam formats if they can’t look at past exam questions. How can we possibly prepare if we don’t know what type of questions to expect? We are conditioned to accept whatever comes our way and it’s very unfortunate that we we have no voice.
If study window is cut and changes to qualifications come in the fall, it especially looks bad. You get a sense they want more people to fail and be subject to new rules.
Isuspect the same act_123. You could also argue that 0-3 and 8+ already have a pretty good idea about their results.
It would be interesting to see a distribution of grades, but i have a strong suspicion that 5/6 make up the bulk. Most of my fails were a 5.
To be honest, I was disappointed because i heard from a few sources that most marking was done pre Christmas. So a month+ wait seems very hard to justify. I doubt they are re-grading.
Well, they seem to be addressing your concern about having to explain why you wasted 4 months. Now we can explain why we wasted 2.5 months or why we were not able to find a timeslot.
